No visas for HIV positive people

You wouldn't expect much tolerance from China. Well, the country will no authorize entry to the country to HIV people. Groups fighing anti-AIDS discrimination hoped that China woud yield to their pressure during the Beijing Olympics.

No surprises. HIV positive people will have to declare their IV status upon visa requests and will be refused them...Foreigners wishing to obtain a resident visa still have to be tested. It is then impossible to lie on one's HIV status.

On the other hand, teams participating to the Games will be spared the compulsory declaration and HIV positive persons will be able to reach Beijing.
